Killi and the Blockchain
Killi acts as a personal data locker that is controlled by you and secured by the blockchain. This allows the user added security and transparency.
Your data is safe with Killi. It stays with you on your device. We don’t even keep a copy of it. Why? We think it is important for you to remain in control and be protected from those who may try and steal your data.
How is this possible? Simple. None of your data is stored in a central system. It is maintained by you—the user—at the handset level. When entering into a contract with a data buyer, the agreement is drafted between you and the brand directly via blockchain technology, the most secure technology in the world.
Blockchains are decentralized and distributed across peer-to-peer networks that are continuously updated. Because they are not stored in a central location, blockchains do not have a single point of failure and cannot be changed or accessed from a single computer. Simply put, this means that your personal information cannot be shared, hacked or stolen by anyone—not even we can access it without your approval.
Killi is providing a world’s first when it comes to transparency for the users. Because Killi is built on the blockchain, we provide you with full transparency for which brands are buying and accessing your data.
Within the wallet of the app, you can see each payment from a brand who is purchasing your data or paying you for a survey response.
Nobody else gives you this level of access to your personal data.
